Black Trumpet Mushroom
This rare mushroom is actually fairly common, but it is difficult to see, and looks so dark that many people do not realize it is a tasty and highly sought culinary prize. It is said to have a very fine mushroom flavor, which is preserved well through drying.
It is found in the deep forest, where the dark color of this trumpet shaped mushroom is hard to spot. It has not been thought to be able to be cultivated until recently.
It has a possible health benefit: this mushroom may encourage the body to release stored fat during exercise. For people with persistent obesity, or those who experience exercise induced asthma, or muscle pain with exercise, this mushroom may be useful in a wise exercise and nutrition program to lose weight. Make sure you get adequate healthy nutrition, plenty of water, and that you consult your physician if you choose to include this mushroom as part of a healthy weight loss regimen.
